So in Wakko’s Wish one part always irked me. When Wakko reaches the star and Dot just shoots up and says “I’m feeling better now” and Yakko says her acting lessons had paid off. Now look I by no means wanted Dot to die like I thought she was, even if Wakko had wished to save her like the timing of this scene implied. But when I saw this scene I thought they had decided to randomly change the plot for the sake of making a joke. Like to me it made more sence to have Dot die and Wakko wish to save her than to randomly make this joke so Wakko could wish for two ha pennies. I decided they just did this so that the economic problem of the film could be solved but I still didn’t like it.

Today it randomly occurred to me that Dot and Yakko were simply pretending she was dying to create a diversion so Wakko could get to the star first and now I feel dumb for not having realized that before now.

Reading: hey it doesn’t matter if the author knows every little detail, they can have some artistic liberties and make things up

Writing: if I don’t find the exact shelf life of the average can of ravioli RIGHT NOW I will DIE

btw the average shelf life of most unopened ravioli cans is 18-24 months

Animaniacs writers react to not being rehired for the Reboot

Wow Paul Rugg’s was deleted right after I saved the screen shot!

Ruegger has made no outward reactions, but he’s been hustling, doing podcast interviews every week about Animaniacs since the reboot rumor started. He’s been posting pics of the old crew and talking about it all over his facebook even though he has new shows to share. He really wanted this. He created the Warners among other memorable Animaniacs characters. He was in charge of the show under Spielberg and hired on most of the writers personally.

Paul Rugg and John P Mccann co produced Freakazoid together. You would know Paul as the voice of Mr. Director from Animaniacs, and Freakazoid himself as well.

SHHHHOOOOT I didn’t get the ‘see more’ version!! Ugh and it’s gone forever I’m upset!!! I don’t remember if he said much more…

Sherri Stoner created/wrote/voiced Slappy Squirrel

[Peter Hastings wrote many Pinky and the Brain episodes and I think Deanna Oliver created either Chicken Boo or Buttons and Mindy?]

Nate Ruegger, the voice of Skippy, is silent so far, like his dad.

They better hire back these writers. This reboot will be trash just like most other reboots without them. Animaniacs is a hard show to write for, and the writers who were in the original are what made the original great. Maybe a few new writers to “freshen it up” but 90% of the writers on the reboot should be the ones from the original. The show was great because the entire team, from the writers to the musicians to the producers to the voice actors, worked so well together.

I have absolutely no hope for this reboot unless as much of the crew as possible is brought back.

I agree, also idk if Randy Roguel has said anything about being on the music side of the show. He’s not on my FB friend’s list so I can’t see all his posts.

I’d even be happy if they just had some of the heavy hitters from the original crew, like Ruegger, Hastings, Rugg, Stoner and McCann… but none of them have said they were coming back. I had high hopes for Bressack being hiried because he had caught wind of Pinky and the Brain hiring writers and was asking open questions on facebook about where to go to apply and so I hoped someone got him that info privately. But even he isn’t on it…

I think we should give them a little bit of time to hire back everyone, and if it doesn’t happen, I say we start a movement to get them back. It’s one thing not to have the writers on because they’re busy and can’t take on another task, but that’s not what’s going on here, they clearly want to be part of this its just a matter of them getting an offer

…on second thought, maybe we should just stay a movement now? I would hate to wait and have them hire new writers and for us to lots our minds trying to get the old writers back, because in a way we’d be fighting to have the new writers fired. I wouldn’t want to do that to the new writers who wouldn’t have done anything wrong
