So in Wakko’s Wish one part always irked me. When Wakko reaches the star and Dot just shoots up and says “I’m feeling better now” and Yakko says her acting lessons had paid off. Now look I by no means wanted Dot to die like I thought she was, even if Wakko had wished to save her like the timing of this scene implied. But when I saw this scene I thought they had decided to randomly change the plot for the sake of making a joke. Like to me it made more sence to have Dot die and Wakko wish to save her than to randomly make this joke so Wakko could wish for two ha pennies. I decided they just did this so that the economic problem of the film could be solved but I still didn’t like it.

Today it randomly occurred to me that Dot and Yakko were simply pretending she was dying to create a diversion so Wakko could get to the star first and now I feel dumb for not having realized that before now.

yeah it was a diversion, i have a copy of the script and it straight up says that she was faking and Yakko was in on it.

I also realized this was foreshadowed the first time Yakko told Dot her story, and then Wakko asked how she is and he goes “those acting lessons never really sunk in…”

Which was so mean of him to say! She acted just fine!

Haha sibling relationship in a nutshell

But he’s better than that!

nevermind. No he’s not.

Lololol

Omg it does??? Interesting!

I think it was all the 4th wall jokes they make that threw me off, I thought it was just another excuse to make one of those jokes.

He went straight to Acceptance. He didn’t even go through the five stages of grief. He just started at Acceptance.

I can translate for anyone wondering what he’s saying. The dialogue roughly goes something like

“Hopefully the owner of the car behind me will next time consider if-oh shit. Okay.”

This is the first time anyone has led me to believe that wasn’t his car. Or the production crew’s car. I’M SO RELIEVED.

Honestly, knowing it isn’t his car doesn’t change how hilarious this is.
