So I’m in the mood to write Wordgirl/Tobecky fanfiction…

I love how Dipper goes to grab Stan and Mabel goes for Ford
There’s a message being conveyed here that I can’t quite pinpoint
But I love this for reasons too numerous to count
That’s all I wanted to say, carry on
@pinesonfire The younger twins are each holding back the older twin whose mistakes they almost repeated. Dipper kept a secret he shouldn’t have to try to protect his family; Mabel tried to keep her ideal future by any means necessary, thinking she knew best.
Also, the younger twins are holding back the older twin whose best characteristics they share. Dipper has Stan’s willingness to do anything for his family and tenacity; Mabel has Ford’s enthusiasm and desire to make the world a better place.
But at the same time, they’re also holding back their opposites. Ford and Dipper have the same intelligence, same drive to prove themselves, some love of the unknown and the same insecurities. Mabel and Stan are both the carefree one, the exciting and slightly eccentric one, the physically stronger twin, the one who always protected their twin. Likewise, Mabel has seemed closer to Stan than Dipper’s been, and in turn Dipper’s been closer to Ford.
And yet Mabel doesn’t run to Stan and Dipper doesn’t run to Ford. They run to the one who is most like their twin, their opposite, the yin to their yang–but as the yin and yang symbol shows, every side has a little bit of its opposite. Dipper is more like Ford, but he shares a core defining trait with Stan and that’s who he pulls back. Same with Mabel.

This is my outfit inspired by today’s Wander Over Yonder episodes: The Sick Day / The Sky Guy. (Okay, I’m looking at this picture on my computer and it looks awful! Sorry about that! I didn’t think it looked this bad on my phone)
My thought process for why I chose this outfit under the cut
I started with The Sick Day, what would I wear if I was sick? I would wear pajamas, but I didn’t really want to wear pajamas all day so instead I thought to wear some of my more baggy clothes (baggy clothes are what I wear when I’m just sick enough to be miserable, but not sick enough to stay home)
The Sky Guy inspired the colors I decided to wear, I stuck with blues and whites (and grays? Quick question, what color would you guys say my pants are? In my dresser they look like a really light blue, but when I put them on they looked light gray?? I used to have a shirt that did this too, it looked orange in my closet but when I wore it, it looked red and I was like “what is this sorcery??” ) and then I felt that it looked a little plain. So I added that scarf because I thought it had sort of sunset-like colors, and sunsets take place in the sky too (had I been thinking I would have thought to include the night sky in there too somehow but eh, oh well)
