Happy Ending AU

Okay here’s my idea for an AU (Not really sure if this counts as an AU, it’s more of an alternate ending assuming GF doesn’t end like this, which would sort of scare me because this is so specifc.. so idk, I’m calling it an AU)

I’m calling it the Happy Ending AU, because with every episode, more and more of us seem to doubt this show will have a happy ending, so this will hopefully fill that void!

Here are the details of what’s going on in this AU its long im sorry!:

  1. Everyone who is alive in Gravity Falls right now is still alive in this AU. So Stan and Fiddleford and everyone except the dead previous mayor is alive
  2. Both sets of Pines twins are on good terms with each other. The entire Pines family is happy,
  3. Stan gives Ford his name back, and Ford starts getting some local recognition for his research on the town.
  4. Ford lets the Mystery Shack stay open as long as it becomes an museum for real paranormal stuff in Gravity Falls (instead of a complete scam)
  5. Stan is living in Mystery Shack with Ford
  6. Dipper and Mabel are staying in Gravity Falls with their grunkles for reasons I haven’t decided (I just  think it’d be cute seeing the grunkles having to raise them instead of just take care of them because those are totally different things)
  7. Soos is living in the Mystery Shack too. His grandma moved into one of those old people homes and the Pines let him move in with them.
  8. Stan adopts Soos as his son at some point (come on, we ALL want this to happen)
  9. There’s a new sport in town specifically designed for Gravity Falls. It’s like boxing, but instead of two real people battling each other, it’s one real person battling a video game character brought to life, (like Rumble). It’s basically like the episode Fight Fighters but as entertainment for the town. I’m calling it Pixel Boxing (name might change, but probably not)
  10. Stan is the champ of pixel boxing and as a result of becoming a pixel boxer, Stan gives Mystery Shack management to Soos
  11. Fiddleford and Stanford have reunited and are friends again
  12. Fiddleford talked to his son and the two have reconnected as father and son
  13. Pacifica starts secretly going to the Mystery Shack a lot to hang out with the Pines family. When her parents find out they lose it and it gets so bad that Mabel and Dipper report it. Pacifica’s parents are arrested for child abuse and Pacifica is told she’ll have to live with another family. She ends up living in the Mystery Shack with the Pines family. She starts dressing different, wearing her hair different and going by her middle name, Elise, to separate herself from who she was /who her parents made her be, and who she is / who she wants to be. She is safe and happy

I always obsess over Stanley bonding with Dipper and Mabel, and in that obsession I’ve forgotten about the bond that Soos and Stan have that we don’t see enough of. Like Stan has grown so close to Dipper in Mabel in just a few months, I want to see more of how close Stan is to Soos, who he’s been spending time with for a decade. We know how close Soos feels to Stan, and somewhere (I don’t remember where or when sorry 😕) Alex stated that Stan does love Soos, but I want to actually see a lot more of that. Stan has developed cute little pet names for Dipper and Mabel (kiddos, sweetie) but I’ve never heard any for Soos who Stan has spent 10 years spending time with. It’s cute to know that Stan tried to have Soos’s birthday removed from calendars simply because he knew Soos didn’t like his birthday, and I would really like to see or hear about more stuff like this. And I wouldn’t in the slightest bit mind if Stan admitted to Soos that he sees him like a son (and I’m sure Soos wouldn’t mind either lol) and yeah I just need more Stan and Soos bonding. This has been a late night rant by me.

First let me just say that this shouldn’t be another reason to be mad at Ford, because he doesn’t realize he’s doing this (yet) but this still should be pointed out.

Ford told Stan that at the end of the Summer, the Mystery Shack is done. This is bad enough for Stan, seeing as the Shack is the first and only successful money maker of his life. But I think we’re forgetting someone who this will also effect.

Soos

The Mystery Shack is, and has been, Soos’s life for at least a decade. It seems to currently be the only source of income for Soos and his grandma. So what’s he gonna do when Ford forces the Shack to be closed? Will he and his grandma be homeless like Stan will probably be?

And also, how and when is Stan gonna tell Soos?
If he tells Soos next time he sees him, Soos is gonna get really upset and emotional, and he’d likely tell the kids, and that’s just gonna create family drama for the Pines family because Dipper and Mabel aren’t going to be really happy with their Grunkle Ford if they know he’s gonna kick out their Grunkle Stan. And they would try to find some way to stop him from doing it (I’m pretty sure neither of the Grunkles are gonna tell the kids about this because they don’t want them to interfere).
However, if Stan tells Soos at the end of the Summer, right before or as the the Shack gets closed, Soos will still be upset of course, but that really isn’t fair to Soos because he could have spent his last few weeks there getting closure and enjoying his last moments.
And I came up with this awefull scenario: What if Stan fired Soos to encourage him to get a new job before the Shack is closed? Like Stan’s way of trying to ease Soos away from the Shack to make it easier for the man-child to have it taken away from him.

Basicaly Ford is about to tear Soos’s world apart and he doesn’t even realize it.
