In Blendin’s Game when Dip and Mabel go back in time to Soos’s 12th birthday, Soos states that he hasn’t seen is dad in like 8 years. That means the last time he saw his dad he was 4, he probably wasn’t even in kindergarten yet.

Do you all remember those Mother’s Day and Father’s Day projects/gifts they had you make in elementary school? (Or was that just a thing in my elementary school?) Soos probably saved all his Father’s Day gifts, waiting to give them to his when he finally came.

And then he realizes his dad isn’t coming back. And he meets Stan and starts to see him as a father figure. So one day he takes all the Father’s Day presents he made and has saved, and gives them all to Stan. Stan acts like he doesn’t care about the gifts, but secretly loves it and awkwardly accepts them. He’s kept them all in a desk drawer in his office at the Mystery Shack for the next ten years.

Now Stan is out sailing with Ford, and Soos is in charge of the Mystery Shack. One day Soos opens one of the desk drawers and sees that Stan still has all those Father’s Day gifts he gave to him. And Soos screams with delight (and is probably crying a little too) and Melody has to rush into the room to make sure her boyfriend is okay because he screamed so loud.
