I see one half the the fandom saying this will be an episode that was just played out of order and the other half saying this will be another non canon episode and can I just say I REALLY hope it’s the former because I’m gonna be really pissed off if it’s a nice Dipper and Stan bonding episode that’s not canon

Stanley probably wants to go on a road trip to sabotage all the other tourist traps because he wants to open a new tourist trap after the Mystery Shack get shut down and Ford kicks him out.

Think about it, that’s what made him the most money, that’s what he’s good at, that’s what he’s been doing for 30 years, why stop now?

But the difference is, when he was running the Mystery Shack as Stanford Pines, he had a…theme? hook? shtick? idk what’s the right word here? none of those seem right to me which was “a mysterious science guy living in the woods, giving tours of his house” and that’s probably something no other tourist attraction has, so that made the Mystery Shack special.

But since he’s no longer going to be Stanford Pines, the mysterious science guy. and he’s no longer going to be able to give tours of his home, what’s he supposed to do for a tourist attraction? It’ll end up being like every other tourist attraction, nothing really unique about it, and therefore probably won’t make a lot of money. So what’s he supposed to do?
