I turned on the tv and saw Gravity Falls on, without thinking I changed it to Gravity Falls.
…Weirdmageddon Part 2 was on, right at the flashbacks of Dip and Mabel’s childhood (the second time, right before Dipper told her he’d go home with her)

And I’m just like “oh…oh…I wasn’t mentally prepared to watch that again”

I’ll bet you 2000 Stan Bucks that part 3 starts with Stan crying because the twins are ok. Then he’ll drop to his knees and hug them

Ok before the episode airs in a few hours, I want to talk about this image. I know there’s a theory that the Dipper and Wendy we see here are not the real Dipper and Wendy. They’re “fake” or “illusion” versions of them, created by Mabel, Bill or Mabel’s bubble. Support for this theory is the fact that they do not look like they did when they entered the bubble, all beat up and looking like they have been surviving an apocalypse.
For this reason, and the fact that literally anything could be happening in that bubble, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if this were true. But let’s say it isn’t true. Let’s say this is the real Wendy and Dipper. What would be happening in this scene then?
My theory is that this scene takes place after they reach the real Mabel. After they try to free her. When they do get to her, she expresses that she doesn’t want to leave, because here in her bubble she can be a kid forever. She can live in Summer forever. This frustrates Dipper and he leaves to another part of the bubble, and Wendy follows him to talk to him about what happened and what Mabel said. And that’s where this scene is.
This idea is supported by the fact that Alex said when Mabel and Dipper next see each other, Dipper will realize Mabel still feels the same way as she did in Dipper and Mabel vs the Future (I don’t have a source, I just remember reading it somewhere, if anyone has a link, please reblog and post it 🙂 )
