I had a Gravity Falls dream last night where Weirdmageddon broke out again and I guess a bunch of the townsfolk weren’t in the town at the time for some reason and they were all trying to figure out how to sneak back into Gravity Falls to save all the other townsfolk. And before Weirdmageddon broke out in the dream, Mabel and Dipper’s parents banned them from going back to Gravity Falls, so the twins created a secret way of getting into Gravity Falls whenever they wanted, and the townsfolk used that to sneak back into the town.
And the only other thing I remember about the dream is that there was a moment when the whole town was gathered around the lake and Ford was telling everyone that they HAD to get rid of all images of Bill, and everyone started chucking a bunch of pictures of Bill into the lake and they basically just turned it into a party and played music and danced while they threw every depiction of Bill they could find off the dock.

My dreams never make much since but they’re interesting

I agree with your thoughts on the importance of the relationship Wendy and Mabel have. And I would like to add that Wendy probably really enjoys having a younger girl to engage with. She also strikes me as being fairly protective of Mabel in a way she isn’t with Dipper (or at least never had a chance to show) best demonstrated in The Last Mabelcorn when she went on the adventure to stop these younger girls from stepping into a bear trap and was later the most vocal in calling out the unicorn.

Sorry for the late responce anon!

I never picked up on her protectiveness, but wow that’s a really good point!

And to add onto your point that Wendy probably likes having a younger girl to talk with, I saw someone point out in the tags that that Wendy comes from a family of all boys. To expand on that and be more specific, Wendy has been living in a family without a mom for a while. If I were to guess her youngest brother’s age, and if we were to assume her mom left/died (probably died) not long after her youngest brother was born, it’s likely that Wendy went through her preteen years without a mother in her life, so it’s probably really meaningful to her to be able to be that older girl role model for someone else who also doesn’t have their mom around (even if it is just a temporary separation)

Random thought I had: I don’t think we really appreciate the relationship between Mabel and Wendy enough. Like, do you realize that Wendy was really Mabel’s only female role model in Gravity Falls? Wendy was the only older girl that Mabel could go to about, ya know girl stuff. Over all that’s not a huge deal just because Mabel isn’t in Gravity Falls for very long, just a few months, and her mom is just a phone call away, but then again, 12 is an age where you would really want to have someone like that around as often as you can. And they didn’t get a ton of screen time together where Wendy could play that kind of role for Mabel, but when they did, Wendy rocked it! I’m thinking specifically of Society of the Blind Eye when the two are taking about boys and Wendy is basically telling her to not worry so much about boys. I really wish these two got more one on one screen time together because their relationship is really important and I think it’s just really under appreciated by so many (myself included)

I’m going through all my papers for the millionth time and this time I found like 12 pages of me thoroughly analyzing the relationships between Dipper, Mabel and Stan
TWLEVE PAGES
And my writing could not have been smaller

(just for the record I made these during season 1, otherwise Ford would have been involved too)
