gravity falls

So I’m in the car with my dad and brother, and I don’t exactly remember how this came up, but basically my brother used Yoda’s quote “Do or do not, there is no try” against my dad, and my dad didn’t fight it and explained why he loved that quote, because you either do it or you don’t, stop saying try,

And then I started saying “What if you someone decides they will do something, and they put all their effort into doing it, and still fail?” And my dad and brother say “Well then they didn’t do it!” and I say “Yes they did! They put their time and their energy into doing something and did whatever they could to get it done and they still didn’t get it. Does their effort mean nothing?!?!?!”

And then I realized I was saying all this because I was defending Stanley Pines (regarding his trying to make money after he got kicked out and ending up being homeless). (And also defending everyone like him who gives it their all and still doesn’t succeed)

Continuing with, of the Stan twins, who would be Heat Miser and who would be Snow Miser (x)(x) I looked online for a personality test on Heat Miser vs Snow Miser, and took it once as I think Stan would, and once as I think Ford would.

First as Stan 

1. Hot or Cold?-I said hot because a) hot weather is probably better for the Mystery Shack business, b) Hot weather is gonna be better for sailing, c) I’m sure when Stan was homeless he wouldn’t have been able to get a lot of hot meals, so he probably really likes/appreciates hot meals now, d) ten years ago Soos came into his life, in Summer, now Dipper and Mabel have come into his life, in Summer, and Ford has reentered his life (even if it’s possibly for only a short time, and so far has been pretty bitter sweet) in Summer. At this point he probably has some pretty good associations with the hotter time of year. Also, he lost Ford to the portal in Winter

2. Do you like Christmas?-…we don’t even know if they celebrate Christmas. I just said “Yeah” because it seemed the most in-the-middle-answer I guess?

3. Do you have any brothers or sisters?-Okay well obviously this was easy for both of them, but I have one questions: HOW DOES THIS QUESTION HELP DETERMINE IF ONE IS MORE LIKE HEAT MISER OR SNOW MISER?? FOR CRYING OUT LOUD THEY ARE EACH OTHER’S BROTHER, THEREFORE THE ANSWER IS GONNA BE YES WHETHER YOUR SNOW MISER OR HEAT MISER. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS QUESTION???????

4. Do you get in fights?- I chose “At times I do” does anyone think “Yes” would be a better answer? I don’t think it’d make a difference, but I could go back and and change the answer.

5. Would you rather have the power of fire or ice?-I said ice because as I stated above, the Mystery Shack is probably busier in the Summer, so if Stan could have the power of ice he could set some out and showcase it as “The Ice That Never Melts!” and get lots of money.

Now Ford

1. Hot or cold?-I said “A little bit of both” because I don’t think he’d care? He gets so wrapped up in his studies and research and investigating and inventing that I don’t think he ever pays attention.

2, Do you like Christmas?- “yeah” *see Stan for my reasons

3. Do you have any brothers or sisters?-obvious answer. This  question seriously bothers me.

4. Do you get in fights?-”no” I can’t see Ford getting into fights

5. Would you rather have the power of fire or ice?-I said fire because Ford does a lot of inventing with metal, and probably has to do some welding, and having the power of fire would help with that

The results for both twins:

“Heat Miser: You are a pretty awesome person but when someone makes you mad you start to get a little red.”

I didn’t care for this quiz tbh but it was the only one I found, that was a personality test, that I felt comfortable taking, (some of those sites concern me), and actually made sense (I found one that asked me if I prefer Princesses or Superheros and I’m like “what the hell does this have to do with the Miser brothers????”)

I do definitely agree that Stan is warmer, but the thing is, Heat Miser is (and pun 10000% intended) is a bit of a hot head, which I don’t think matches well with Stan? Course I don’t think that matches well with Ford really either.
I’m probably being bias here because Stan is a favorite gf character, and of the miser brothers, Snow Miser is my favorite.
I just had another thought though, Stan has a burn mark, so maybe that could put him as Heat Miser? Or maybe since Ford is technically the one who gave him the burn mark, maybe Ford should be Heat Miser? (“I’m mr. Heat Miser, whatever I touch, starts to melt in my clutch”)

I’m probably gonna obsessively try to analyze this the rest of the night to figure it who would be who and I have zero problems with this lol
