After Weirdmageddon, Gravity Falls probably changed A LOT

Gravity Falls (the town) is probably so different now that Weirdmageddon is over.

The Society of the Blind Eye is gone, so they all remember Weirdmageddon, and they’re all scarred for life in some way or another.

Because everyone suffered through it, and everyone is scarred for life, the town becomes closer as a community.

They’ve probably started having apocalypse drills in town, in case it ever happens again.

They add paranormal studies to the curriculum in Gravity Falls schools, as a requirement, because now they know their town is super weird and people need to be educated to protect themselves.

They attempt to make the town even more isolated than it already is, because out-of-towners can’t handle the weirdness and they want to protect the rest of the world.

They initiate a Gravity Falls Independence Week, to celebrate the fact that they won Weirdmageddon (without actually talking about it, of course, because that would violate the Nevermind All That Act), they celebrate it every year starting on the day Weirdmageddon started, and ending on the day it ended.

The members of the Pines family are guests of honor during Gravity Falls Independence Week.

One of the traditions during Independence Week is burning nachos.

I started going through the Gravity Falls tag because ya know, one year ago today it ended, but I think I’m going stop, its just making me sad.

Oo but I just remembered I had a post about the finale that I started before the finale. I think I can quickly edit it and post it, this seems like as good a time a any to post it 😜

(side note I just realized that means that post, that I had full intent to post at some point, has been sitting in my drafts for over a year. wtf is wrong with me why can’t I complete stuff I start 😫)

Happy one year anniversary of the end of Gravity Falls

Such a bittersweet occasion. I still don’t think I’ve gotten over the fact that Gravity Falls is over, but I’m still so happy this show has existed. This show made me look at cartoons differently and helped me feel more confident in the fact that I’m still watching cartoons. And its the exact type of show I would want to create. This show has actually changed my life and I just wanna say thank you to Alex for creating it, and thank you to the fandom for keeping the show alive.

Random thought I had: I don’t think we really appreciate the relationship between Mabel and Wendy enough. Like, do you realize that Wendy was really Mabel’s only female role model in Gravity Falls? Wendy was the only older girl that Mabel could go to about, ya know girl stuff. Over all that’s not a huge deal just because Mabel isn’t in Gravity Falls for very long, just a few months, and her mom is just a phone call away, but then again, 12 is an age where you would really want to have someone like that around as often as you can. And they didn’t get a ton of screen time together where Wendy could play that kind of role for Mabel, but when they did, Wendy rocked it! I’m thinking specifically of Society of the Blind Eye when the two are taking about boys and Wendy is basically telling her to not worry so much about boys. I really wish these two got more one on one screen time together because their relationship is really important and I think it’s just really under appreciated by so many (myself included)

I’m picturing Ford and Stan having a conversation after DD&MD, where Ford asks Stan why he’s letting Dipper hang out with him now (with Ford thinking that that’s a huge change from when Stan told him “stay away from those kids! I don’t want them in any danger!” just a few days before)

Stan: well I figured if the kid is gonna idolize you, we may as well take advantage of it
Ford: what do you mean?
Stan: that boy has showered maybe three times over the entire summer, if you tell him he stinks, he’ll shower twice a day for the rest of his life and the nightmare will be over
