anyway in all honesty i can talk about the kids snuggling with ford all day because god damn we needed to see it in the show and also i love seeing that nerd who was typically shown to be more brainy than openly affectionate (because he was busy trying to prevent the fucking apocalypse and didnt have time for that or he’s just very shy and doesn’t want to hurt the kids like he hurt everyone else close to him in the past) get all happily adoring and physically close with his niblings
even the smallest things like him carrying a tired mabel after a trip to the beach on the oregon coast, dipper trying not to look like a chicken while watching horror movies but the sudden loud sounds startle him so he holds on to ford for dear life and ford squeezes him and hugs him to make him feel safer
