Hi, so in case you can't tell my ever-so-creative blog name, this blog is dedicated to Gravity Falls and other related stuff! :) This includes all the other cartoons I'm into (Wander Over Yonder, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Wordgirl, Animaniacs and other shows that I'm probably forgetting) Please note that you are on my Wordpress site, and everything I post is imported from tumblr, so if something has transfered strangle, that's why. Reblogged posts (which are not mine!) will have giant quotation marks in front of the text, along with the username of original tumblr user who posted it in red text.
I don’t usually watch these things, but I never have seen so many empty chairs in a room.
But the news is…
The official count is 52-47 and that, it’s enough to go to the next step, which is the House of Representatives. And just like the Senate, we need to rush this one to the floor, otherwise, it may die when the new Congress comes into session.
So, we still have work to do as far as getting it to pass completely, so we can’t rest up just yet.
They’re going to hold the Senate vote for the CRA sometime during mid-May, after the Senate recess, according to Politico.
MARKEY: NET NEUTRALITY VOTE IN MAY — Sen. Ed Markey,
the chief sponsor of a measure to overturn the FCC’s repeal of the net
neutrality rules via the Congressional Review Act, says he envisions it
hitting the floor next month. “We’re going to file it right after the
break and then we expect sometime in the middle of May to have it on the
Senate floor,” Markey told MT. The Massachusetts Democrat didn’t say
whether he had secured the elusive 51st vote to pass the CRA resolution
in the upper chamber on a simple majority. Senate Democrats and
independents, along with Republican Susan Collins of Maine, have thrown
their backing behind the measure.
There’s still time to call your senators and get that 51st vote!
